That is the work. And it requires rebellion, the quiet, deliberate kind. The willingness to challenge what we have been told leadership looks like and to choose our own narrative instead.
The Human Imperative began with a simple conviction: that by making time to be human first, we create the conditions for real change.
Over nearly a decade of practice, research, and experiential learning, that conviction became a methodology. One that allows leaders and individuals to realign their relationship with themselves and, through that foundation, the world around them. Sustainable, authentic, powerful transformation.
We believe that by changing ourselves, we truly can change the world.

Anne Winn
Founder & CEO
I help people see what they couldn't see alone and believe what they were too afraid to believe about themselves. It has been my most important work for nearly two decades.
My career has carried me through non-profits, higher education, corporate environments, and consulting. The same patterns exist everywhere: executives navigating complexity, innovators building from nothing, achievers whose accomplishments never quite satisfy. The common thread is this: they came carrying something heavy, and they left lighter.
I don't promise answers. I push around the edges, hold up a mirror, and use ideas and storytelling to help people build a path forward. My gift is seeing people, not the performance, not the title, but the person underneath.
The Human Imperative is the culmination of that work, not just professionally, but personally. I am the science experiment that built the philosophy and methodology through a lifetime of observation, education, and practice. It exists because I finally found my own courage to share it.

I unlock potential in people, helping them see and claim what is uniquely theirs to contribute, and finding the courage to share it with the world. I am a master clarifier and an advocate. Inquiry is my gift.
My career spans change management, innovation, and communications. I have worked alongside leaders and organizations working to find their way, building environments where people feel seen, heard, and capable of contributing at their highest level. Along the way, I've learned that asking the right questions matters more than having the right answers, and that a sense of humor is essential to staying human in the work.
I believe that innovation, breakthrough, and real change don't happen in isolation. They happen at the intersections, in the spaces where different perspectives collide and where someone asks the question no one else thought to ask. That is where I do my best work.
What matters most to me is helping people see their way to "the how". I lead our Conversations, cohort experiences, and engagements because that is where the questions live, and where people discover what becomes possible when they show up as themselves.
